Vasantrao Naik Arts,Science and Commerce College , Shahada is run by the Satpuda Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Vidyawadi, Dhule’s . It is affiliated K.B.C.North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. It is one of the foremost colleges in Satpuda Range . It is established in the year 1993. The College is a leading and distinguished center of higher education. With a perfect confluence of conventional courses , Vasantrao Naik Arts, Science and Commerce College offers the programs of graduation in various subjects related to Arts and Science courses and subjects like English , Marathi , Hindi , Political Science, Economics, History, Geography, Chemistry , Physics , Zoology , Botany , and Mathematics, and M.A.(Marathi) and M.Sc.(Chemistry).
College library has its own importance in higher education. It helps in widening the range of knowledge and information to teachers and students. Our college library has tried its level best to provide necessary material to all the components of the college and looked after the quantitative & qualitative growth in library facilities. We are also connected to other college libraries under the inter library loan Facilities, e-Library facilities with INFLIBNET N-List. The library is computerized with bar-coding of books, Circulation, and library membership cards. The library has purchased LIB- MAN Library Software developed by Master Software Pvt. Ltd. Nagpur.
The department of library was also established in the year 1993 with only 848 books and one Cup Board as storage space. The fifth law of library science namely “Library is Growing Organism” is also one of the goals of our library today we have more than 12651 books and more than 1,34,72,570 E-Books (N-List) & subscribe 18 print periodicals / journals and many other reading informative material.
OUR COLLECTION
The library is well equipped, up-to-date variety of books. It has more than 12651 Textbooks and Reference books. During the year 2019-20, 688 books of 7, 99,216 Rs. Worth has been added in the library. We received 19 books as donation during the year in the library. Various periodicals of national and international repute have been made available. 05 daily news papers of state and National level in English, Hindi and Marathi. Magazine on various disciplines are subscribed. The library has a special collection of competitive exams.
